Level Design & Game Progression
The game features 20 levels split into two progressive sprite phases.
🐧 Penguin Phase (Levels 1-10)
Levels 1 to 10 introduce tiles with Tux penguin faces exclusively (drawn from face IDs 0 to 49). The board size ramps up gradually from a quick 36-tile board up to the full 144-tile layout at Level 10.
- Level 1: 36 tiles (9 distinct faces)
- Level 5: 84 tiles (21 distinct faces)
- Level 10: 144 tiles (36 distinct faces)
🐶 Dog Phase (Levels 11-20)
Levels 11 to 20 repeat the tile counts (36 to 144) but mix dog styles into the sprite pool. Each new level introduces one additional dog style (10 variants per style) until 5 styles are active at Level 15-20.
- Level 11: 36 tiles (Penguins + 1 Dog Style)
- Level 13: 60 tiles (Penguins + 3 Dog Styles)
- Level 15+: 84-144 tiles (Penguins + 5 Dog Styles)
